How did you know he was the ONE?
There wasn’t a specific day that I remember thinking he was the one but by the time he proposed I definitely knew and had known for a while. We dated for 5 years by the time he proposed so by then he knew me better then anyone else and it was pretty obvious by his loyalty that he loved me no matter what and that someday he would be by husband.
How did you know she was the ONE?
I didn’t want to imagine my life without her.
Describe the proposal and plans leading up to it. How many people had to keep it a secret?
We were taking a trip to Ireland with a group of friends and decided last minute to propose there. I went to David Gardner’s about a week before the trip and luckily I was able to find the perfect ring.
Kimmy: Describe your thoughts/feelings in the moment.
Extremely happy of course and all I could think was it is finally happening!!! I also had nothing to do with picking out the ring all I told him was my size so when he pulled it out of the box I was completely surprised and couldn’t believe how beautiful the ring was.
Ben: Describe your thoughts/feelings in the moment.
My mind just went blank for a few minutes.
Kimmy: Did you see it coming?
Yes I saw it coming because we talked about getting married right after college so many times plus when he proposed we were in Ireland and a week before we were supposed to leave he asked what my ring size was.
Describe the process of selecting her ring. Fears? Expectations?
I knew what she wanted in general but not in any detail, it was pretty daunting at first but after seeing a few different styles and having a lot of help from Caysi it was pretty easy.
What is your favorite thing about him?
I know I can trust him which I think is a big part of making a relationship work (with us it was through one semester of high school and give years of college since he got his masters) we did long distance for a while so knowing I could trust him gave me so much comfort. Also I think he is super sexy so that is another one of my favorite things about him.
What is your favorite thing about her?
Her kindness and patience. I don’t know any other girl who is patient enough to handle me for the rest of our lives.
