Our History
At David Gardner’s Jewelers, our story began in 1983 — but our roots run deeper and it’s our values that continue to define us today. What started with David Gardner sweeping floors at a local chain jewelry store eventually became a dream realized: a family-owned, custom-focused jewelry store built on craftsmanship, creativity, and community, right here in Bryan-College Station.
Now in our fifth decade, we’re proud to be the Brazos Valley’s destination for fine jewelry — from custom engagement rings and wedding bands to timeless classics like tennis bracelets, diamond studs, and anniversary gifts. Whether you’re searching for the perfect proposal or a longtime client building a jewelry collection, you’ll find designs that are deeply personal, thoughtfully made, and crafted to last. Our in-house design studio gives customers the chance to collaborate with our award-winning team to bring their vision to life.
David Gardner’s Jewelers is the Preferred Jeweler of Texas A&M Athletics, a distinction that reflects our strong relationship with the university and its spirit of excellence. As part of the Aggie community, we serve students, alumni, and families who share our values of loyalty, integrity, and tradition.

What sets us apart from other fine jewelry stores? Our jewelers work front-and-center—crafting and repairing pieces right in the heart of the store. It’s one of the most talked-about features among first-time visitors. For us, transparency matters—and so does celebrating the team that makes the magic happen every day.

The only AGS-certified jeweler within 90 miles, David Gardner’s Jewelers proudly upholds the highest ethical and gemological standards. David Gardner has served as AGS President and continues to champion excellence in the jewelry industry.
Our reputation is built on trust — and few credentials speak louder than our long-standing membership in the American Gem Society (AGS). Fewer than five percent of jewelers in the country earn this distinction, and we are proud to be the only AGS-certified store within 90 miles of Bryan-College Station. AGS was founded to protect jewelry buyers by enforcing the highest ethical and gemological standards in the industry. David served as AGS President and on its Board of Directors, and continues to advocate for education, transparency, and excellence in the jewelry world. We also partner closely with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) to ensure our knowledge and practices remain on the cutting edge.

David was honored to be commissioned to design a piece for Barbara Bush—an opportunity that remains one of the highlights of his design career.
At our core, we’re more than a jewelry store. We’re designers, educators, and memory-makers. We believe in marking life’s most important moments — from engagements and anniversaries to new careers, growing families, and everything in between — with meaningful jewelry that reflects your story. Our team brings decades of experience, a state-of-the-art studio, and a deeply personal approach to everything we do. We’re honored to be your trusted jeweler.

On any given day, you’ll find David at the Smartboard sketching or refining a new design, on the sales floor connecting with customers, or behind the bench collaborating with our jewelers. Julia brings her creativity and community heart to all things marketing, customer experience, and philanthropy — all while leading our store’s transformation and keeping the heart of DG’s beating strong. Currently known around here as our “Remodel Extraordinaire,” she’s the force behind so much of what makes David Gardner’s Jewelers feel like home.
