Few traditions carry the pride, emotion, and history of Aggie Ring Weekend. For current and former students alike, receiving the Aggie Ring represents years of dedication, friendships forged in Aggieland, and the unmistakable pride that comes with being part of the Texas A&M family.
At David Gardner’s Jewelers in College Station, TX, we’re honored to celebrate that milestone with Aggies every year. This Ring Weekend, we’re adding a little extra sparkle to the tradition with a special RingWraps Trunk Show featuring RW Fine Jewelry.
For one unforgettable weekend, our showroom will host an expanded selection of the iconic diamond bands designed to enhance and frame your Aggie Ring. Whether you’re receiving your ring for the very first time or returning years later to elevate the piece that means so much to you, the RingWraps Trunk Show is the perfect opportunity to make your Aggie gold shine even brighter.
What Are RingWraps?
For many Aggies, the ring itself is already a deeply meaningful symbol. But sometimes, a milestone deserves a little extra brilliance.
RingWraps were created by Aggie alum Emily Huskinson ’12, who envisioned a way to enhance the Aggie Ring without altering the original design. The result was a triple-patented concept that quickly became beloved within the Aggie community: a pair of diamond bands designed to frame the ring on either side, adding sparkle while preserving the integrity of the original piece.
Each RingWrap set consists of two handcrafted diamond bands that encase the Aggie Ring, creating a halo of diamonds around the cherished gold centerpiece. Because the design is non-permanent and removable, you can choose when and how to wear the RingWraps—adding sparkle for special occasions or everyday brilliance.
Every piece is meticulously handmade in the United States using natural diamonds, ensuring the same level of craftsmanship and quality you’d expect from fine jewelry designed to celebrate one of life’s most important milestones. The result is a stunning transformation that feels both personal and timeless. Your Aggie Ring remains the centerpiece, but with a frame of diamonds that reflects the journey it represents.
A Subtle Shimmer: Ring Enhancer
While many Aggies love the full brilliance of RingWraps, others prefer something a bit more understated. That’s where enhancers come in. Enhancers are designed as a single curved diamond band that sits gracefully alongside your Aggie Ring. The effect is subtle yet elegant, adding sparkle without fully surrounding the ring.
These pieces are incredibly versatile. You can wear an enhancer on its own for a delicate accent or pair it with a full RingWrap set to create a layered look with even more dimension and brilliance. Enhancers are available in many of the same signature styles as RingWraps and feature natural diamonds in a variety of silhouettes, from classic uniform rows to tapered designs that gently cascade along the finger. For those looking to add an even more personal touch, many styles can also be customized with birthstones or colored gemstones, creating a piece that tells your own story alongside the tradition of the Aggie Ring.
A Rare Opportunity: Expanded RingWraps Selection
Ring Weekend is one of the only times each year when David Gardner’s Jewelers brings in an extended selection of RingWraps styles and sizes all at once. During the trunk show, you’ll have the chance to explore designs that aren’t typically available in-store together. This expanded inventory allows you to compare styles, try on different silhouettes, and see firsthand how each design complements your Aggie Ring.
Here are the five signature RingWraps designs you can view at the show:
- The Original offers classic, uniform diamonds for timeless sparkle that pairs beautifully with any Aggie Ring.
- The Kensington doubles the diamond presence, creating a fuller look with added brilliance.
- The Mini Cascading is a fan favorite, featuring a tapered design that gently elongates the finger.
- The Cascading style builds on that silhouette with a more dramatic flow of diamonds for a bold statement.
- The Crown sits at the top of the collection, delivering the most opulent and eye-catching diamond display.
Not sure which style suits your personality and lifestyle best, while complimenting your ring? Our team will help ensure your Aggie Ring and RingWraps fit together seamlessly so the final look feels natural, balanced, and comfortable to wear.
