We loved the custom David Gardner ring made especially for Brittney Gallagher so much, it has already made an appearance on the front cover of last year’s DG Magazine! We talked to the newly engaged couple in their favorite place – at home, in their favorite city – Fort Worth, Texas.
For Andrew and Brittney, the city of Fort Worth holds the story of their relationship. A Fort Worth native, Brittney met Andrew while working a booth for a western retailer at the Fort Worth Stockshow and Rodeo. Andrew, who was also working a booth for his employer, noticed her right away.
“The first thing that drew me to her was how fun she was. No matter where we are, at a party or just relaxing together, she is fun to be around,” said Andrew.
After two and half years of dating and three weeks of extensive planning, Andrew proposed to Brittney with a custom David Gardner designed ring at the newly renovated National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame surrounded by her closest friends. The surprises continued as the couple celebrated with a post-engagement dinner in Del Frisco’s wine cellar with nearly 30 family and friends.
Andrew was drawn to the custom process because of his background in architecture. He received his masters in architecture from Texas A&M and the idea of designing something unique to Brittney’s personality resonated with his love of design. The three stone ring showcases both platinum and yellow gold, an emerald cut center stone and fancy yellow pear shape diamonds to create a look unlike any other.
“I brought Brittney in a few times and she was adamant about certain things, but we went the complete opposite! It was a Hail Mary pass, completely outside the game plan,” joked Andrew. “It’s her in ring-form!”
For Brittney, the smile has still not left her face months later. “It is a conversation piece, everywhere we go,” she said. “I feel so blessed to have something like this from Andrew, I love it!”
A springtime, Fort Worth wedding is set for early March.
