The Girl Scouts of Central Texas honored local fine jewelry store, David Gardner’s Jewelers with their prestigious “Workplace of Distinction” Award at the 2017 Women of Distinction banquet at Miramont Country Club in Bryan. A Workplace of Distinction is selected for its support and encouragement of women’s leadership and success. David Gardner’s Jewelers is the fifth Workplace of Distinction to be selected.

“We are very blessed and very honored and still in shock that some of our peers on the outside would think to nominate us as a Workplace of Distinction, it’s a lot to live up to and we will continue to do that,” said Julia Gardner, co-owner of David Gardner’s Jewelers.

Julia and David Gardner have become well known for their philanthropic efforts with hundreds of community and student organizations throughout the Brazos Valley. Their heart for developing leaders within the workplace and dynamic workplace environment continue to challenge and grow employees year after year not only as leaders at work but in the community as well.

“David Gardner’s Jewelers & Gemologists was a perfect choice for our Workplace of Distinction honor this year,” said Resource Development Executive Christal Hice. “David and Julia have such a fresh perspective on motivating and empowering their employees from the ground up, and the impact their donations have made on so local many nonprofit and students groups is tremendous. They are truly a wonderful example for others to follow.”
